At CoKind Therapy, I value human connection above all. I believe that choosing the right therapist is not only about qualifications or techniques — it is about finding someone you feel safe enough to be human with.

Part of what shaped me as a therapist came from my own experiences growing up in a home filled with emotional instability, conflict, and unspoken pain. From a young age, I became highly aware of other people’s emotions and learned what it felt like to carry responsibilities that were difficult for a child to hold.

For many years, I struggled quietly with my own mental health, including the impact of trauma. Like many people, I spent a long time trying to survive before truly learning how to heal.

My recovery did not happen all at once. It involved therapy, self-reflection, learning healthier boundaries, and gradually creating a life that felt safer and more grounded. Healing also changed the way I understand people. It taught me that symptoms often have deeper stories beneath them, and that emotional pain deserves compassion rather than shame.

Even now, I do not see healing as a destination where we become perfectly unaffected by life. I see it as an ongoing process of understanding ourselves more honestly, responding to ourselves more gently, and building healthier ways of relating to others.

I share a small part of my story not because your experience should be compared to mine, but because I want you to know that you do not need to hide your struggles to deserve support. Many people carry pain silently for years while believing they have to handle it alone.

You are not broken for struggling. You are human.

If you decide to begin therapy, I would be honored to walk alongside you in that process.
